Our Mission
Our mission is to decrease the size of wildfires, reducing the impact to families and property. We achieve this mission by selling a fire retardant that is applied at the start of wildfire season around structures. Clore Wildfire Defense offers season long protection, allowing you to keep your home resistant from fires.
Meet the Founders
Clore was founded by Sebastien Burkhardt and Barrett Deng, who both have a passion for the wildfire industry and want to make an impact on the environment.
How It All Started
Sebastien and Barrett started Clore when they were in Boston for a visit in July, 2021. There had been intense wildfires in Canada and the smoke had driftedall the way to the East Coast. They started talking about the impact the fires were having on everyone and immediately wanted to help. While they didn't create the solution at that moment, it was the day they envisioned their company.

Located in Mountain View, CA, Sebastien has a deep passion for the wildfire industry and wants to make a lasting impact on the environment. With a background in chemistry and entrepreneurship, he leads Clore's product development and strategy, investing in research and third-party lab testing to ensure products are safe and effective.
Barrett Deng
Co-Founder
Barrett shares the same passion for the wildfire industry and environmental impact. Inspired by the resilience of communities rebuilding after wildfire disasters, he partnered with Sebastien on that pivotal day in Boston to turn their vision into a real company. Barrett drives Clore's partnerships, operations, and outreach to fire departments and HOAs across the country.
Our Journey
The Vision
On July 21, 2021, Sebastien and Barrett were in Boston when smoke from horrific Canadian wildfires drifted all the way to the East Coast. That day, they envisioned a company dedicated to fighting wildfire impact.
Research & Development
Driven by their shared passion for the wildfire industry and the environment, they began researching fire retardant chemistry to develop a long-term solution for residential and commercial use.
First Prototype
After extensive research and testing with third-party labs, Clore develops its first long-term fire retardant formula, season-long protection in a single application.
Going to Market
Clore launches its product line including starter kits and 5-gallon jugs, partnering with local fire departments and HOAs across California.
Scaling Impact
Clore expands its reach nationwide, offering B2B solutions for ranches, private defense companies, and municipalities. The mission to reduce wildfire impact grows stronger than ever.
